X-ray

The DK - German Medical Diagnostic Center Ltd. is proud to be able to offer high quality X-ray services to its valued customers covering the entire spectrum required for clinical diagnosis of the human body. Safety is our paramount concern during the performance of X-ray imaging and our facility is well-shielded with thick lead-lined walls and protective lead-lined covers are provided to all patients to protect sensitive areas during imaging.

X-ray technician reviewing image We previously operated an analogue X-ray facility using only German-made reagents, film processors, films and X-ray generating equipment. As part of a general overhaul in 2012 we have upgraded this to a state of the art AGFA HealthCare digital system that, in conjunction with our trusted German-made Philips X-ray generator and the experience of our X-ray technicians, provides our valued clients with qualitatively better X-ray services than before. This has also enabled us to extend our X-ray service offering and at the same time achieve faster turn-around times for image processing.

All patients undergoing digital X-ray imaging are provided with a high quality laser print of their X-ray image on film and the DK - German Medical Diagnostic Center Ltd. can also provide the digital X-ray image on a DICOM standard compliant CDROM for convenient transport and evaluation by other facilities equipped to do so.

Resident Physician evaluating an X-ray image Aside from providing an invaluable aid in diagnosing bone conditions and illnesses relating to fluid distribution in the human body, a major part of our X-ray operations serves to screen for tuberculosis (TB) disease. TB is highly prevalent in Afghanistan, highly contagious and can form the basis of exclusion from work, travel and emigration. In conjunction with specialised laboratory testing the DK - German Medical Diagnostic Center Ltd. can provide its valued customers with current, reliable and widely accepted TB screening programs. If you would like to know more about these possibilities, please contact our B2B / volume services team via the details provided in the contact directory.
