Dr. Edith Rammer, MD, GP, will be joining the DK - German Medical Diagnostic Center in August 2014 as Resident Physician. Dr. Rammer is hailing from the Republic of Austria and is a very highly experienced and trained gynaecologist. With more than thirty years of practical experience as an accredited obstetrician-gynaecologist she is uniquely placed to address a wide range of female ailments, the treatment of which we could previously not offer to our valued patients.

As such Dr. Rammer can offer medical accompaniment of normal and high-risk pregnancies to term and is qualified to assess pre-natal developmental deficiencies through ultrasound and doppler imaging relating to malformations, vascular disorders and other conditions that can lead to intra-uterine death. She can also perform echocardiography of the fetus to assess cardiological function pre-natally.

Despite her focus on obstetrics and gynaecology, Dr. Rammer is in a position to see patients with general medical ailments having, in the course of her medical education, also had to complete the qualification as a general physician. She has attended a plethora of continued professional education events that have, amongst others, also led to her qualification as an emergency room physician.

Dr. Rammer will be available for consultations during the majority of the year and only occasionally takes short home leaves. She will be assisted by Mrs. Maryam, Langaryar and Mrs. Nelufar, Yaqubi who provides seamless translation between Dr. Rammer and our Dari- and Pashto-speaking patients.
